Hinwick House is a grand Grade I listed Queen Anne country house located about 90 minutes from Central London, near Podington in North Bedfordshire. It is said to have been modelled on the original Buckingham Palace and is set in 38 acres of magnificent parkland . The estate consists of the Queen Anne Main House, The Victorian Wing, The Victorian Wing Extension, Garage Block, Stables, 3 cottages, a clock tower, a walled garden and a period dovecote. The house and estate has a total of 50 rooms, 25 of which serve as bedrooms. Hinwick House has recently undergone a 2 year restoration program. With over 200 skilled artisans and tradesmen working on the renovation and restoration of the house and the grounds which have now been restored to their original glory. It is believed that more resources have been invested by the current owners in the complete renovation and restoration of the house and estate than any investments ever before in its 300 year history as a private home. After its restoration program was successfully concluded the house has been featured in the media, with the Daily Telegraph calling it "a celebration of Britishness" and the Wall Street Journal calling it a 'grand English estate' and a 'replica of Buckingham Palace".
