Historic Architecture, Architecture, Interesting Places, Other Buildings And Structures
The Stelljes House is a historic house on New Hampshire Route 31 in Goshen, New Hampshire. This 1-1/2 story Cape style house was built c. 1800, and is one of the oldest of a cluster of plank-frame houses in Goshen. The framing is three-inch planking attached to sills, which rests on a rubble and granite stone foundation. The main facade was probably five bays wide originally; the right side bays have been replaced by a 20th-century picture window. A chimney rises off-center through the front slope of the roof. An ell extends from the southern portion of the rear of the main block.
The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
